Genealogy Research

A quick check of our records can be made of our extensive birth and obituary index card catalog. Requests may be made by phone or email and are $3.00 each (includes copy and mailing fee).

For a more extensive search, the volunteer genealogy staff at the Mitchell Research Center will research your request at $10.00 per hour. Copies of documents are 25 cents per page and 50 cents per page from the microfilm reader/printer. Postage will be added. A retainer of $20.00 will be required for each search completed by the research staff. Any monies not used will be returned to you. All fees for research are donated to the Mitchell Research Center, as our staff are volunteers. Donations over and above costs are gratefully accepted.

If an original copy is requested from the Hillsdale County Court House, the current fees will apply plus a $3.00 fee for the research staff to obtain the documents(s).
